Diane Barnes, PhD, currently serves as the Content Design Manager for Social Studies at Edmentum, overseeing the 6-12 social studies catalog and leading a team of content designers. Previously, Diane held the position of Content Design Manager for Custom Projects at Edmentum and worked as a Curriculum Manager at Apex Learning, focusing on the creation of digital courses. As a Freelance Researcher since 2002, Diane has acted as a historical consultant for prestigious organizations, including Oxford University Press and the US Department of Education. Diane's editorial experience includes serving as Associate Editor for the Frederick Douglass Papers, contributing to the scholarly edition of the works of the notable abolitionist. Additionally, Diane was the Director of US Curriculum at Opportunity Education, where leadership in curriculum development and management was demonstrated.
