Rod Houpe started their work experience in 2000 at the Ohio Department of Commerce, where they served as the Deputy CIO until October 2004. Rod then became the CIO until February 2008. From 2008 to 2011, they worked at Columbus City Schools as the CIO, overseeing a technology budget and implementing a PMO. At LCRA from 2011 to 2012, they served as the IT Manager/Director, overseeing infrastructure, service delivery, and application development teams. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at CLEVNET/Cleveland Public Library as the CTO, providing visionary leadership for quality library services. At the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, they served as the CIO from 2014 to 2018, identifying and managing innovative systems. Since 2018, they have been the Director of Business Development at Education Networks of America (ENA by Zayo), collaborating with executive management to identify strategic customer prospects. Additionally, since 2010, they have been the Principal at Brooksong Consulting, a boutique advisory and consulting practice specializing in IT industry expertise.
Rod Houpe attended Ohio Dominican University, where they studied Information Systems. Rod then attended Redlands Community College, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Lastly, they completed a Certificate program at DeVry Institute of Technology. No specific start or end years were provided for any of these educational experiences.
