Rita Birchard

Rita Birchard has over two decades of experience in strategic marketing and business development within the medical device sector, currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Advanced Technology at Edwards Lifesciences since September 2010. Birchard has held multiple leadership roles at Edwards, including Senior Director and various director positions in strategic marketing, US sales programs, and therapy development for transcatheter heart valves. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Global Market & Business Development at Cordis Corporation and roles such as Senior Product Director and Senior Product Manager at Cordis and Guidant, respectively. Birchard began their career as a Marketing & Sales Associate at Genset Corp. and holds a BA in Political Science from UC San Diego as well as educational experience at the University of Salzburg.
