Robert Brierley has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Starting in 1975, they worked as an Audit Supervisor at Coopers & Lybrand. Robert then moved to Unitrode Corporation, where they served as the Treasurer and played a key role in the company's global expansion and M&A strategy. In 1990, they joined Cybergraphic Systems, Inc as President and CEO, leading the turnaround and growth of the subsidiary. From 1993 to 1999, Brierley served as the Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix Controls Corporation, overseeing the company's P&L and implementing operational improvements. Robert then joined Access Magazine as the Chief Operating Officer, helping the start-up become the third-largest weekly circulation magazine. From 2002 to 2005, they served as the Chief Financial Officer of Extraction Systems, Inc, guiding the company through a cyclical downturn and subsequent expansion. Brierley then joined Youbet.com as a Director and Audit Committee Chairman, where they mentored the executive team and oversaw compliance implementation. From 2005 to 2018, they served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Aircuity, Inc, responsible for the company's finance, accounting, and operations. Most recently, they joined Venture Growth Partners as a part-time CFO and COO, providing consulting services to companies at a plateau or inflection point. Currently, Brierley holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Electronic Fluorocarbons.
Robert Brierley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in business and economics from Principia College between 1969 and 1973. Robert further pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the MIT Sloan School of Management from 1973 to 1975.
