Effective Altruism Philippines is the official Philippine chapter of the effective altruism (EA) movement. Effective altruism is a global philosophy and social movement of people using evidence and reason to figure out how to help others as much as possible, and taking action on that basis. 

EA Philippines's mission is to provide high-quality resources and discussion spaces for students and professionals to learn about and practice the principles of effective altruism. We aim to help more Filipinos learn about the importance of maximizing their social impact, which causes could be most important for them to work on, and what they can do with their careers or donations to make an impact on these causes.

We do a number of projects, including organizing events, supporting student chapters, doing cause-specific research, advising people on their careers, and curating a job board with impactful roles. Learn more about what we do at https://www.effectivealtruism.ph/
