Heidi Schnabel Kattula, Ed.D., currently serves as the Superintendent for East Grand Rapids Public Schools since August 2018. With prior experience as Executive Director of District and School Services at Oakland Schools, Kattula supported over 200,000 students in various educational facets from PreK to 12th grade. Kattula held leadership positions in Bloomfield Hills Schools, including Director of Learning Services, Principal of West Hills Middle School, and Principal of Andover High School, focusing on International Baccalaureate programs and school improvement. Earlier roles included Assistant Principal at Wayne Memorial High School in Wayne-Westland Community School District. Kattula's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, an Educational Specialist degree in General Administration, a Master of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science.
