Chris Connolly currently serves as the Team Lead and Contracts Manager for Onshore and Offshore projects at EirGrid Group since October 2023. Concurrently, Chris holds the positions of Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and Non-Executive Director at Newgrove Housing Association since 2022. Previously, Chris has significant experience with the National Treasury Management Agency as part of the National Development Finance Agency from December 2016 to October 2023, and with BAM Ireland from June 2011 to December 2016. Chris's early career includes serving in the Irish Defence Forces from 2000 to 2006 and a brief tenure with the United Nations in 2005. Chris's educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University, a Master of Science in Project Management from Waterford Institute of Technology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law and Contract Administration from Trinity College Dublin, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance from Middlesex University. Chris is also recognized as a Chartered Engineer by the Institute of Engineers Ireland.
