Olakunle Alao, Ph.D, currently serves as a Senior Energy Economist at EirGrid Group since January 2023, following extensive experience as an Energy Consultant for POWER FUTURES LAB since February 2018. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from University College Dublin and multiple executive education credentials from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town.

At EirGrid, we develop and operate the national electricity grid, so that everyone has power when and where they need it. The grid takes electricity from where it is generated and delivers it to the distribution network, operated by ESB, which powers every home, business, school, hospital, factory and farm on the island.
