Karah Nazor

Karah Nazor, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of medical science and gerontology with extensive experience as a Medical Science Liaison at Eisai US, focusing on Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics since February 2023. Previously, Karah served as a Contract Medical Science Liaison for Genentech, presenting information on Alzheimer's disease pipelines during pivotal trials. As the founder and race director of Swim the Suck from 2010 to 2022, Karah managed comprehensive race operations for a prominent open water swimming event. In an academic capacity, Karah directed scientific research at McCallie, mentoring numerous candidates in life sciences research, and held adjunct professor positions at multiple colleges. Earlier roles included research at the University of California, San Francisco's Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases, developing preclinical models and therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative conditions, and earning a PhD in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky. Notable achievements include contributions to significant research publications and recognition as a NOAA Teacher at Sea in 2019.
