Matthew Weeks has extensive experience in finance and operations, having worked at E. & J. Gallo Winery in various senior management roles since August 2005. Matthew is currently the Senior Manager of Co-manufacturing and Sourcing, responsible for overseeing finance and MES systems for Modesto production. With prior experience as an Analyst at CalSTRS evaluating investment funds, Weeks is well-versed in financial analysis. Additionally, Matthew has a strong background in education, having served as an Instructor of German and English at San Joaquin Delta College. Weeks holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of California, Davis, and Master's degrees in German Language and Literature, as well as English and German.

Ernest and Julio Gallo started E&J Gallo Winery in 1933. Julio, who died in 1993, was in charge of making the wine, and Ernest, who died in 2007, was responsible for selling the wine. Gallo wines include Turning Leaf, Twin Valley, Single Vineyard, Red Bicyclette and Ecco Domani. Joseph Gallo, Ernest's son, is chief executive, while a number of other family members work for the company.
