Jared Patch

Jared Patch is a Principal Research Scientist at Elanco, leading virology and biologicals research projects and managing cross-functional teams since May 2014. Jared has a strong background in vaccine candidate design and laboratory experimentation and has held various research positions, including Senior Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Vermont and Plum Island Animal Disease Center. Earlier experiences include serving as a Microbiologist at USDA-ARS, where Jared focused on foot-and-mouth disease virus research and vaccine development. Jared began academic training at Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, and completed a Ph.D. in Emerging Infectious Diseases at the Uniformed Services University. An Executive Certificate in the Business of Life Sciences was obtained from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
