Anand Rao has several years of work experience in the financial industry. Anand started their career at Standard Chartered Capital Markets, where they worked in Portfolio Management Services from June 2006 to February 2008. After that, they joined Batlivala & Karani Securities India Pvt. Ltd. as a Compliance Officer, holding the role from February 2008 to November 2012. Currently, Anand is working at Elara Capital, specifically at Elara Securities (India) Private Limited, as a Compliance Officer since November 2012.
Anand Rao's education history begins with their high school education at Sri Kumaran School in India, which they completed before 1997. Anand then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Banking & Finance at Progressive Educational Societys Modern College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Pune from 2001 to 2004.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Anand enrolled in Shree Chanakya Education Societys Indira Institute of Management in Pune to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance. Anand attended the institute from 2004 to 2006.
In addition to their formal education, Anand has acquired several certifications. Anand obtained the NISM Series - VII Securities Operations and Risk Management Certification Examination in September 2021, followed by the NISM Series VIII Equity Derivatives Certification Examination in December 2021. In February 2022, they obtained the NISM Series - III A Securities Intermediaries Compliance (Non-Fund) Certification Examination.
Anand further enhanced their professional qualifications by obtaining the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Manager (CALM) certification from the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in December 2022. Most recently, in January 2023, they acquired the Verified International Academic Qualifications from the World Education Services.
