Alejandra Uranga

Chief Engineer, Research & Future Concepts at Electra.aero

Alejandra Uranga is a Gabilan Assistant Professor of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern California. Before joining USC, she was a Research Engineer at MIT and the Technology Lead of the NASA-funded N+3 program for the design, development, and testing of the D8 Double-Bubble advanced transport aircraft. Alejandra directed the tests at NASA Langley’s 14-by-22 Subsonic Wind Tunnel that first demonstrated the aerodynamic benefit of boundary layer ingestion for a realistic transport aircraft. Her research covers experimental and computational aerodynamics, airframe-propulsion system integration, and electrified aircraft design. She joined Electra as Technical Advisor.
