Alex Magerko

Alex Magerko is an experienced engineer and scientist currently serving as an Engineer Scientist V within the Distributed Energy Resources Integration Group at EPRI since January 2017. Previously, Alex held the position of Engineer Scientist III at the same organization. Prior experience includes a role as a research assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Alex analyzed extensive solar data while studying Electrical Engineering. At the US Army Corps of Engineers, Alex contributed to the design and testing of a portable micro-wind generator. Alex's early work experience includes positions as a custodial maintenance assistant and job site manager with College Pro Painters. Academic credentials include a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by a high school diploma from Lewis-Palmer High School.
