Mr. Amrendra Prasad Verma, aged about 68 years, has completed his Masters’ Degree in Liberal Arts from Patna University.
He has over 32 years of experience in the banking sector. He joined Banking sector in the year 1975.
During his career with State Bank of India (SBI), he held various Senior Executive positions including Business Head of Corporate Banking Group, General Manager-International Banking Division and Chief Credit & Risk Officer.
During the year 2005-2009, Mr. Verma was deputed to SBI Capital Markets Limited (Investment banking outfit of SBI) as Managing Director & CEO.
He also held the position of Deputy Managing Director & Group Executive of Mid Corporate Group of SBI during 2009-10.
He retired as the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Credit & Risk Officer of the bank in December 2011, where he was in overall charge of the bank's risk management function.

Electrosteel Castings Limited is a pipeline solution provider. The Company is engaged in the business of manufacturing Ductile Iron (DI) Pipes, Ductile Iron Fittings (DIF) and Cast Iron (CI) Pipes. It provides techno-economic solutions for water supply and sewerage systems. It is also involved in the execution of turnkey projects as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for infrastructure projects, including sourcing, treatment and distribution in its portfolio of services. Its range of pipes include DI socket and spigot pipe with push-on and DI flanged pipe. Its range of fittings include DI fittings with push-on type restrained joint and DI mechanical joint fittings with rubber gasket and follower gland. Its manufacturing facility at Khardah produces DIF and Pig Iron. The CI spun pipes are manufactured at the Company facility in Elavur (Tamil Nadu), while Low Ash Metallurgical Coke (LAMC) is produced at the Industrial Unit at Haldia (West Bengal).
