Liezl Basson has a diverse work experience. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as an ESL Teacher at Suwannaphum Pittayapaisarn Secondary School. Their role involved teaching English as a second language to Thai native-speaking students and training them for English skills competitions and debates.
In 2017, Basson joined Go2Africa as a Product Administrator, where they assisted with general administration tasks, audits, and research. Liezl communicated with suppliers via email, gathered and compared information such as images and rates, and liaised with hotels to coordinate office training for the sales team. Liezl also assisted with travel documentation for educational trips. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Product Coordinator at the same company.
Basson's most recent work experience is with Electrum, where they started in April 2020 as a Marketing Assistant. In this role, they provided support to the marketing team and contributed to various marketing initiatives. In March 2021, they were promoted to Marketing Coordinator and took on additional responsibilities. Currently, they hold the position of Product Marketer, starting in November 2021.
Liezl Basson completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from Stellenbosch University from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the same university, specializing in Economic and Management Sciences, Business Studies, Mathematics, and Mathematical Literacy. In 2016, Liezl Basson earned a TEFL Certificate from UniTefl, focusing on Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instruction.
