Bjorn Stemkens

Bjorn Stemkens is an experienced professional in the field of medical engineering and radiation oncology. Currently serving as the Product Manager for MR-Linac Solutions at Elekta since November 2021, Bjorn leads product development for the Elekta Unity MR-Linac, defining strategy and overseeing implementation alongside a team of product managers. Previously, as a Clinical Scientist at Philips, Bjorn managed multiple research projects and served as Product Owner for cross-functional teams. Bjorn's academic background includes a PhD focused on MRI-guided abdominal radiotherapy, postdoctoral research at Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht, and leadership as CEO of MR Code, where innovative software solutions were developed to enhance MRI systems. Additionally, Bjorn holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Medical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
