Sophie Billings

Sophie Billings is an experienced associate scientist specializing in genomic applications, currently employed at Element Biosciences since July 2022 in progressively advanced roles. Prior experience includes a research-oriented position at UCLA's Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics, where Sophie contributed to the discovery of novel bacteriophages and collaborated on projects involving microbiology, virology, and molecular biology. Sophie's background also encompasses a compliance and recruiting assistant role at UCLA Athletics, where office administration included database management and interaction with athletic recruits, as well as previous research and operational roles at UCLA and Property Solutions Inc.
