William Thornbury

William Thornbury is a highly experienced process development engineer currently serving as a Staff Process Development Engineer at Element Biosciences since December 2023. Previously, Thornbury held the position of Senior Engineer II at Pleno Inc. and worked at Inscripta, Inc. as a Senior Process Engineer II, managing manufacturing operations in formulation, filling, packaging, and CRISPR library assembly. Prior roles include Senior Process Engineer at Illumina, where responsibility included the Reagent Formulations division, and various engineering positions at the University of Southern California, culminating in significant research contributions and academic publications in the field of chemical engineering. William graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Nanotechnology from the University of Southern California, and was Valedictorian at De La Salle High School.
