Ryan Sheftel has an extensive work experience in the financial industry. Ryan is currently working as the Head of Trading at Element Capital Management since 2023. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Global Trading Systems from 2015 to 2023. Ryan also worked at Credit Suisse from 2009 to 2015, where they served as the Global Head of Rates Quantitative Automated Trading and Global Head of eCommerce for Fixed Income. Ryan was the Principal & Chief Investment Officer at Malbec Quantys Fund from 2007 to 2009, where they built and launched a Systematic hedge fund. Ryan worked at Citadel Investment Group from 2002 to 2006 as a Director and Portfolio Manager, managing a team of traders and technology professionals. Before that, they were a Vice President at Goldman Sachs from 1997 to 2002, and an Analyst at Lehman Brothers from 1995 to 1997, both in roles related to mortgage trading.
Ryan Sheftel attended the University of Pennsylvania from 1991 to 1995, where they pursued a degree in Finance and Systems Engineering. Ryan graduated with an M&T degree.
