Cynthia Tan is currently working as a Senior Systems R&D Engineer at Element Science, Inc. since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Earlens Corporation as a Staff R&D Engineer from October 2017 to February 2023. Cynthia also gained experience as a Masters Student at ETH Zurich from April 2016 to November 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Student Intern at GE Power from November 2015 to February 2016, as well as at Alstom Power from September 2015 to October 2015. Cynthia has also worked as a Student Researcher at ETH Zurich, UC Berkeley, and Osaka University during different periods from 2012 to 2016.
Cynthia Tan earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In 2012 and 2013, they attended Osaka University. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich, where they studied from 2014 to 2017.
