iOS Engineer at Elevate Labs

Rafael Valer has a diverse work experience in the field of iOS development. Rafael started their career as an iOS Developer at the Apple Developer Academy in 2015, where they developed native iOS, tvOS, and watchOS applications. Rafael then worked as a Research Assistant at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, supporting the professor in giving classes on Human-Computer Interaction.

In 2017, Rafael joined Aegro as a Mobile Application Developer, where they worked on publishing mobile apps and led the development of native Android and iOS applications. Rafael later became a Mobile Software Engineer at Aegro, responsible for application maintenance and the development of new features.

From 2019 to 2022, Rafael worked at Luizalabs as an iOS Software Engineer and Senior iOS Software Engineer. Rafael developed in-house SDKs, published and integrated them with the main iOS application, and worked on maintaining the iOS super app and developing new features.

In 2022, Rafael joined Route as an iOS Engineer, where they played a key role in implementing a design update for the core app component and driving 2.8M downloads through exciting app features.

Currently, Rafael is working at Elevate Labs as an iOS Engineer.

Rafael Valer completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. This took place between 2012 and 2017. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Oslo (UiO) for the academic year 2018-2019. Rafael continued their Master's studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul from 2018 to 2020, completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.
