Elizabeth Highland has a diverse work experience. Elizabeth began their career as a Human Resources Intern at Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc. in May 2017, where they gained valuable experience in the field. In June 2018, they joined Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce dba Elevate Rapid City as an Administrative Assistant & HR Coordinator. After two years, they transitioned to Elevate Rapid City as an Office Manager & HR Coordinator in January 2020. Currently, Elizabeth holds the position of Director of Operations at Elevate Rapid City since January 2023.
Elizabeth Highland attended the University of South Dakota from 2014 to 2018. Elizabeth completed their Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management during this time.

Elevate Rapid City was established in 2019 merging the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development organizations to lead the economic development and small business efforts in the Black Hills region.
