Brijesh Pradhan is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in solutions architecture and technical consulting. Currently serving as a Solutions Architect for Digital Operations at Elexon since March 2021, Brijesh has previously held roles at Coventry Building Society as a Technical Consultant and at Whitbread as an Oracle Fusion Consultant. Elexon plays a key role in the electricity system by managing the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC), one of 10 major codes which set out the rules so that Britain’s energy system operates effectively. Elexon compares contracts to buy and sell electricity in the wholesale market with actual volumes. We work out a price for the differences and transfer funds accordingly. As Britain’s energy sector continues to evolve we are working to ensure that our BSC systems can support the future needs of our customers and progress to Net Zero. This includes rolling out Elexon Kinnect, our cloud platform to deliver Settlement and all of our services, including provision of open data on the wholesale electricity market.
