Dana Scarberry-Jones has a strong background in human resources, with experience in various roles. Dana began their career at Computer and Engineering Services, Inc. in 1999, where they served as the Human Resources Support Manager until 2001. Dana then moved on to LDM Technologies, where they worked as the Human Resources Assistant Manager from 2001 to 2002. Finally, Dana joined ELGA Credit Union in 2002, where they currently hold the position of Human Resources Director.
Dana Scarberry-Jones, SPHR, obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Human Resources Management from Oakland University, where they attended from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Dana has obtained several certifications in various areas. In March 2022, they completed a course on "Fighting Gender Bias at Work" at LinkedIn. In April 2022, they also obtained a certification titled "The Employee's Guide to Sustainability" from LinkedIn. Lastly, in June 2022, they acquired the certification "Navigating Environmental Sustainability: A Guide for Leaders" from LinkedIn.

We are a not-for-profit cooperative; formed, owned and operated for a single purpose: members helping members. We have a proud tradition of service to our members since 1951. ELGA Credit Union had a humble beginning, helping Consumers Energy employees that were paid below the average of other industrial workers in the 1940’s and 50’s. ELGA got its name from a contest held in 1959 to rename the credit union, replacing the previous name, Flint Division Consumers Power Company Federal Credit Union. The name incorporates the first two letters of Electrical and Gas. ELGA Credit Union has 11 branches in Genesee, Lapeer, and Saginaw counties, as well as robust online banking for computers, smart phones and tablets. We have over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs available to you at our branches, inside Flint's Hurley and McLaren hospitals, and through the Money Pass or CO-OP Networks.
