Galen Yang (Chia-Lun)

Galen (Chia-Lun) Yang has a strong background in software engineering with experience in various companies. Starting in 2000, Galen worked as a Web Engineer at pAsia, where they built a directory service for a social media system and developed an online domain name registration service. In 2001, Galen joined CyberLink as a Senior Software Engineer, working on video-editing software by developing user interface components, maintaining a special effects library, and improving algorithm performance. From 2004 to 2008, Galen worked at eGalax_eMPIA Technology Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer responsible for maintaining USB drivers, developing PC Camera components, and supporting new features such as snapshot capture, video effects, and face tracking. In 2008, Galen joined TE Connectivity as a System Software Engineer, maintaining Windows driver packages for touch controllers and developing new features. Lastly, Galen worked at Elo Touch Solutions, starting in 2012 as a Senior System Software Engineer and later becoming a Principal Software Engineer. At Elo, Galen led software projects for touch monitors, Point-of-Sales systems, and peripheral devices, collaborating with cross-team engineers, FAEs, vendors, customers, and an outsourcing company.

Galen (Chia-Lun) Yang completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University from 1992 to 1996. Galen (Chia-Lun) then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University from 1996 to 1998.
