University Chaplain And Dean Of Multifaith Engagement at Elon University

Kirstin C. Boswell currently serves as the University Chaplain and Dean of Multifaith Engagement at Elon University since June 2021. Prior to this role, Kirstin held the position of Associate Dean at Brown University from December 2019 to June 2021, and served as Chaplain to the Institute and Director of the Office of Religious, Spiritual, and Ethical Life at MIT from July 2017 to November 2019. Kirstin was also an Associate University Chaplain for the Protestant Community at Brown University from July 2012 to July 2017. Educationally, Kirstin is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Chicago, having studied there from 2007 to 2022, while also holding a Master of Divinity (MDiv) in Theology and Religious Vocations from the University of Chicago (2003-2006) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Government and Foreign Affairs from The University of Virginia (1993-1997).
