Senior Scientist I -biology at Elsie Biotechnologies

Bibiana Rius currently serves as a Senior Scientist I - Biology at Elsie Biotechnologies since June 2022, previously holding the position of Scientist I - Biology. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Scripps Research Institute from April 2017 to June 2022, leading research on IRE1/XBP1s-induced liver transcriptome remodeling and ER proteostasis pathways related to blood cancer. Bibiana's earlier work as a PhD Student at Hospital Clínic of Barcelona from May 2010 to February 2017 focused on the role of specialized pro-resolving mediators in metabolic disorders related to NAFLD. An internship at The Scripps Research Institute in 2016 contributed to findings on ER stress and amyloidogenic variants. Bibiana obtained a PhD in Medicine and holds a Master's degree in Research in Liver Diseases, along with Bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry, all from Universitat de Barcelona.
