Gregor Fassbender

Gregor Faßbender, born on January 26, 1968 in Cologne, Germany, nationality German, is a member of the Board of Directors. Since January 2018, the graduate economist with an MBA in sports management has worked as a freelance communications consultant and owner of FASSBENDER SportsCom | Strategic communications consultancy for emotional sports brands based in Cologne.

Before that, Mr. Faßbender was responsible for the corporate communications of large group companies, most recently from 2016 to 2017 that of AXA Konzern AG in Cologne. From 2013 to 2016 he headed external and internal communications at Volkswagen Financial Services AG in Braunschweig. During his time as Director Corporate Communications of the OnVista Group, Mr. Faßbender managed corporate, product and service communication for OnVista AG and its three brands OnVista.de, OnVista Bank and OnVista Media Sales. This also included investor relations for the listed holding company.

As a strategically acting communications manager, Mr. Faßbender was particularly shaped by his time on the agency side. As a partner, senior consultant and unit manager at ergo Kommunikation (today Edelman), one of the leading German communications consultancies, he looked after well-known customers from the service, industry and public sector for eight years from the year 2000.

Mr. Faßbender got his start in corporate communications in 1995 after completing his studies at Dresdner Bank AG. There he held various positions in communications, including press spokesman at the Group's Frankfurt headquarters, PR manager in the Group's direct banking project in Duisburg and head of communications at the Cologne branch.
