Hilary Tanenbaum, PhD, MS, MPH, RD/N

Hilary Tanenbaum, PhD, MS, MPH, RD/N has a wealth of work experience in the fields of epidemiology, health and nutrition research, and dietetics. In 2021, they began their current role as Senior Research Scientist - Epidemiology and Survey Science at Embark Veterinary. Prior to this, they served as Director of Health and Nutrition Research at Lemnature AquaFarms (Parabel) in 2020. From 2017-2018, they were a Research Associate IV (Project Manager) at Kaiser Permanente, Department of Research & Evaluation (Epidemiology). During this time, they also worked as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Los Angeles. From 2012-2015, they held various roles at Claremont Graduate University, Community & Global Health / Information Systems & Technology, including Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. Additionally, they served as a Consulting Dietitian and Environmental Assessment Team Advisor at the Community Translational Research Institute from 2015-2017. During this time, they were also a Project Manager at Clinical Solutions Data Lab, Inland Empire Health Plan / Claremont Graduate University. Before this, they worked as a Registered Dietitian at Olive View UCLA Medical Center from 2010-2015 and at Monte Nido in 2010.

Hilary Tanenbaum began their educational journey at Choate Rosemary Hall, where they completed their high school studies. Hilary then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in English. After that, they went on to California State University, Los Angeles, where they earned an MS in Nutritional Science. Following that, they completed a Dietetic Internship at Olive View UCLA Medical Center. Hilary then attended Claremont Graduate University, School of Community & Global Health, where they earned an MPH in Biostatistics & Epidemiology concentration, followed by a PhD in Health Promotion Sciences, Biostatistics & Epidemiology concentration. In addition to their educational qualifications, Hilary Tanenbaum is also certified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and as a Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist.
