Nikita Kaydanov is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at EMBL since October 2020, working in the Prevedel lab on photoacoustic imaging and exploring wavefront shaping combined with photoacoustic imaging. Prior to this role, Nikita completed a PhD in the same lab, focusing on validating novel calcium probes and developing a photoacoustic tomography setup for neuroimaging in mouse models. Experience includes working as a Researcher at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology from November 2018 to November 2020, concentrating on optoacoustic imaging and related fields, and participating in a student internship at Helmholtz Zentrum München, where the focus was on fiber-based endoscopic optoacoustic probes. Early work experience also includes a Lab Assistant position at BIOLASE, Inc. in dental lasers R&D and serving as a Teacher of Physics at Physics-Math Lyceum 239. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Photonics and Quantum Materials from Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Nanobiotechnology from St Petersburg Academic University.
