Sarah Schulz

Sarah Schulz is currently serving as a Microbiological Standards Officer and Project Coordinator at EMBL since March 2022, where Sarah focuses on coordinating and developing data and metadata standards for microbiome research within the NFDI4 Microbiota consortium. Prior experience includes acting as a Doctoral Researcher at Helmholtz Institut München, specializing in viral tagging and phage isolation for antibiotic-resistant gut microbes, and working as a Research Assistant at APC Microbiome Institute managing bacterial cultures and antimicrobial production. Earlier roles encompass project coordination during an internship at Scotia Biologics Limited, a Night Auditor at Front Office, a Trainee Dispenser at Boots UK, a Scientific Communicator at AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin, and Service Staff Supervisor at Mise en Place. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Stratified Medicine and Pharmacological Innovation from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Biomedicine from the University of Dundee.
