Shelley Johnson

Shelley Johnson is an accomplished senior director of philanthropy at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, having served since October 2019 in various leadership roles, including overseeing major donations for the College of Arts & Sciences across multiple campuses. With a strong background in relationship building, Shelley has effectively engaged individual donors, alumni, and corporations to secure funding for scholarships, athletic programs, and other university initiatives. Prior to this, Shelley held key positions at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona, where responsibilities included driving marketing initiatives and managing grant writing, as well as extensive experience in marketing and community relations at MCO Properties. Early in the career, Shelley developed child care policies and programs at the Arizona Department of Economic Security and led programs at the Association for Supportive Child Care. Shelley holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Arizona State University.
