Dan has been with Emera for over three decades. During this time, he has held a number of engineering, supervisory and senior management roles including Executive Vice President, Major Renewable and Alternative Energy; President and Chief Operating Officer of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Emera Inc.; and President and Chief Operating Officer of Emera Utility Services.
Dan is a past member of the executive committee for Cigre Canada – International Council on Large Electric Systems. He previously served on both the Transmission and Distribution Councils for the Canadian Electricity Association and is a past Board Member of the Cape Breton Partnership.
Dan has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (Dalhousie University).
