Karen Parness

Karen Parness, PMP, is an accomplished IT Project Manager with extensive experience in managing infrastructure projects and program portfolios. Currently contracted with Emergent BioSolutions since September 2018, Parness previously served as Program Director for Infrastructure at MedImmune, where oversight of project delivery and strong alignment with user needs were key responsibilities. Earlier roles include Technical Project Manager II at SAIC, where project portfolio management for the National Cancer Institute was a highlight, and Sr. IT Program Manager at Life Technologies, where notable achievements included leading major data center moves and implementing a Disaster Recovery program. Parness began their career as Software Development Manager at COMSYS, successfully delivering cost-effective HRMS and Financials solutions. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Westminster College (PA).
