Dan Baum

Dan Baum is an experienced leader in operations and strategy, currently serving as the Director of Operations at Emerson Collective since August 2022. Prior to this role, Dan held various positions at the Obama Foundation from October 2018 to August 2022, including Manager of Strategy & Analytics and Senior Associate of Program Strategy, where significant contributions were made to the Foundation's strategic planning and leadership development. Dan's tenure at The Redwoods Group from 2007 to 2018 included roles such as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Director of The Redwoods Group Foundation, focusing on community safety initiatives and organizational culture change. Dan holds an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, graduating Cum Laude. Additionally, Dan has been involved in community service and leadership through initiatives like Habitat for Humanity and the Durham CAN Community Organizing Network.
