Nick Armstrong is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in private equity and investment banking. Since December 2015, Nick has held various titles at EMK Capital, including Partner, Investment Director, and Investment Manager. Prior to this role, Nick worked as an Investment Manager at Bregal Capital LLP from July 2014 to December 2015, and at Nomura from July 2010 to June 2014, where roles included Associate and Analyst in Investment Banking, focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions. Earlier experience includes a position as an Analyst in Transaction Services at KPMG Advisory from March 2009 to June 2010. Nick holds a Master's degree in Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, both from the University of Sydney.

EMK is a UK based private equity fund which invests in businesses where it can support growth and change. In partnering with EMK, businesses and management teams get access to more than just capital – we work together to generate ideas on how to take a business forward and act as a catalyst for delivering change. We have the capability to commit over £100m of equity to a single investment from our fund and in partnership with our limited partners we could commit far more should a portfolio company require that through the life of an investment. We typically make majority investments over periods of three to seven years in the business services, consumer and industrials sectors. Whilst we are flexible about the situations we target, we have extensive experience supporting management buyouts, corporate carve outs, growth equity, special situations and management succession.
