Craig Coopersmith

Craig Coopersmith is a highly experienced medical professional specializing in critical care and surgery. Since November 2009, Craig has served as the Director of the Emory Critical Care Center and a Professor of Surgery at Emory University, additionally holding the position of Associate Director for the Emory Center for Critical Care. Craig's leadership extends to the Society of Critical Care Medicine, where Craig is a Past-President. Prior experience includes roles as Professor of Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis and Co-Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Craig completed a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care and a General Surgery residency at Washington University, and holds an MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, along with a BA in Biological Basis of Behavior from the same university.
