Sudeshna Sil Kar

Sudeshna Sil Kar, PhD, currently serves as an Assistant Scientist at Emory University since June 2022, following a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Case Western Reserve University from February 2020 to June 2022. The primary research focus involves examining various imaging modalities in ophthalmology and investigating clinical features associated with multiple ophthalmic and retinal diseases, particularly through the characterization of unique imaging features within Optical Coherence Tomography. Sudeshna earned a PhD from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, between 2013 and 2018, and holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electronics & Telecommunication from Jadavpur University, attained in 2008, as well as a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from West Bengal University of Technology, completed in 2005. Prior academic positions include Assistant Professor at Techno India Group and Lecturer at JIS College of Engineering.
