Dan Harshbarger is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in driving product innovation and managing high-performance teams across various sectors. Currently serving as Senior VP of Engineering at Emporia, Dan oversees a comprehensive engineering organization focused on firmware, electrical, power systems, mechanical, test, compliance, and program management. Previously, Dan held the position of Senior Director of Engineering - Hardware Design at Luminar Technologies, managing a cross-functional team to enhance Lidar sensor technologies. Dan's career at Cummins Inc. involved several leadership roles, culminating in directing advanced development initiatives and overseeing significant budgets while driving technology roadmaps and electronic system architectures. Dan began the professional journey as a Senior Project Engineer at Delphi Automotive Systems after completing a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
