Matthew C. Wilcox

Matthew C. Wilcox is executive vice president, personal lines of Encova. He is a graduate of University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts degree and has been in the insurance industry for more than 35 years.

Prior to his current position, Matt spent more than 10 years with MAPFRE USA as senior vice president and chief technical officer with responsibility for product management, underwriting, actuarial, predictive analytics and commercial lines. He started his career with MAPFRE USA as vice president, product management. Matt also held senior-level positions with Travelers Insurance and USAA Insurance, and he spent nearly 20 years with MetLife Auto & Home in a number of regional and corporate-level product and underwriting positions.

Matt has served as a member of The Institutes CPCU Society Underwriting Section Committee and as the Executive Committee Chair and Board Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association. Matt holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
