Gil Roman

Gil Roman has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gil is currently an Engineering Manager at Endpoint since March 2023. Prior to that, they were a Technical Lead Manager at the same company from April 2022 to March 2023. Before joining Endpoint, Gil worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ticketmaster from November 2020 to April 2022, where they played a crucial role in creating high-performance features for the main Ticketmaster event ticketing page. Gil also contributed to the DevOps cycle by enhancing the Gitlab CI configuration and conducting releases. From 2018 to 2020, Gil worked at 8th Light, first as a Software Crafter, developing applications using various technologies, and then as a Resident Apprentice. During their time at 8th Light, they actively practiced Test Driven Development, Agile Processes, and presented Lightning Talks on programming topics. Prior to that, Gil worked at AlwaysSound as a Software Engineer/Consultant, where they programmed mobile apps, developed an iOS timer, and implemented software services for an event venue company. Before transitioning into the tech industry, Gil worked as the Director of Technology/Studio Director at Donald Kaufman Color from 2004 to 2016, where they managed the entire architectural color consulting firm and implemented software solutions to accommodate business growth. Gil began their career as an Associate Financial Analyst at Bear Stearns from 1999 to 2001.

Gil Roman attended Baruch College from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems. Gil specialized in the field of Computer Information Systems during their time at Baruch College.
