Bastiaan Gerrits has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Bastiaan started their career as a Graduate Intern at KPN Research in 2000. Bastiaan then joined Deloitte as an IT Strategy Consultant, where they advised companies on IT strategy and software selection. Bastiaan also managed the IT audit practice in northeast Netherlands during their time at Deloitte. In 2008, they joined KPN and took on various managerial roles, including Teamlead Productmanagement, Manager IT Operations, and Manager Projectmanagement. During this time, they were responsible for improving customer satisfaction, reducing operational costs, and managing large projects. From 2014 to 2016, Bastiaan served as the Manager Innovation OSS at KPN, where they transformed the organization into an agile culture, simplified the IT landscape, and launched new products and services. Bastiaan then took on roles as an Agile Program Manager BSS & OSS, Program Director, and Director IT Mass Market, leading digital transformation and IT devops practices. Most recently, they are currently working at Eneco as the Head of Business Technology NL.
Bastiaan Gerrits has a diverse education history. Bastiaan completed a Leadership & Innovation program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022, and a Leadership Immersion program at Hult Ashridge in 2016. In 2014, they pursued a mini MBA at Nyenrode Business University. Bastiaan also obtained professional certifications including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2006. Bastiaan completed a Postgraduate IT-audit Course at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 2005. Their undergraduate education includes a M. Sc. degree in Engineering & Management Science with a focus on ICT from the University of Groningen from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Blaise Pascal College for VWO.

Living within the natural boundaries of the planet is what Eneco believes in and strives for.
