Raphaël Hoogvliets has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Raphaël started their career as a Freelance Data Science & Agri Innovation Consultant at Bureau YAP, where they helped companies in the agriculture and food sector develop data strategies. Raphaël also worked as a BI Developer / Data Scientist at Macaw, specializing in data exploration, analysis, and visualization using machine learning techniques.
Raphaël then worked as a Product Manager at ING, delivering Smart Building and IoT streaming data solutions, and as a Data Scientist at Ymere, assisting the Netherlands' largest housing corporations in becoming data-driven organizations.
After that, they joined KPN as a Senior Data Scientist for both external clients and internally, providing IT advisory services and solving current problems for firms with a future perspective. Raphaël also worked at Cegeka as a Senior Data Scientist, Business Consultant, and Project Lead, successfully delivering advanced analytics and infrastructure projects.
Raphaël then moved to the National Postcode Loterij and served as a Senior Data Scientist, Lead Data Scientist, Analytics Manager (ad interim), and Chapter Lead Data Science & MLOps.
Currently, Raphaël is working at Marvelous MLOps as a Creative Director and will be joining Eneco in the future as a Team Lead Machine Learning Engineering. Throughout their career, Raphaël has demonstrated their expertise in data science, machine learning, and leading development and business teams.
Raphaël Hoogvliets holds a MSc in Spatial Economics/Economic Geography from Utrecht University. Raphaël also completed a BA in English Language and Culture from the University of Amsterdam. Prior to that, Raphaël attended CSG Jan Arentsz where they received their VWO degree in Nature and Health. In addition to their formal education, Raphaël has obtained several certifications in various areas of data analysis, including courses from DataCamp and Microsoft. Raphaël has also achieved advanced fluency in German through Duolingo.
