Dan Liu has a strong background in various roles and industries. Dan currently works at Energy Robotics as a Sales Engineer, where they help digitalize oil and gas operations through the use of autonomous robots. Prior to this, Dan worked at Estating as a Technical Project Manager for a short period. Dan also gained experience as a B2B Product Owner Intern at finn.auto, where they played a crucial role in defining and executing product strategies. Dan's earlier work includes being a Student Researcher at the Technical University of Munich, where they conducted research and improved lab efficiency. Dan also worked as a Freelance Project Manager at Messe Muenchen, providing interpretation and sales support for Chinese exhibitors, as well as a Project Manager at EU FITHydro, where they prepared feasibility studies and coordinated project members.
Dan Liu completed a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from the Technical University of Munich from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2016, they participated in an exchange program at Stanford University, focusing on Sustainability Studies. Dan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Environmental Engineering from Sichuan University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.

Energy Robotics has launched one of the first commercially available software platforms for industrial applications that combines three essential components of intelligent control of mobile autonomous robots: a hardware-independent robot operating system, cloud-based fleet management, and AI-powered data analysis. The robots are used for remoteinspection and monitoring, especially in industries with harsh and demanding environments such as the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, but also increasingly in the energy and security industries. The company relies on a SaaS model to do this, offering its software solution and associated IT infrastructure along with hardware from various third-party vendors.
