Energy Robotics
Karim Barth has work experience as a Robot and Cloud Software Engineer at Energy Robotics since 2021. In this role, they specialize in the development of onboard autonomy software for mobile inspection robots, with a particular focus on perception. Karim is also responsible for the development and integration of various aspects of the software stack, including frontend and backend. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Energy Robotics from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, they served as a Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft (WHK) at Technische Universität Darmstadt from November 2020 to January 2021.
Karim Barth obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Informatik from Technische Universität Darmstadt between 2013 and 2016. Karim then pursued further education at the same university, completing their Master of Science degree in Autonomous Systems from 2016 to 2020.
Energy Robotics
Energy Robotics has launched one of the first commercially available software platforms for industrial applications that combines three essential components of intelligent control of mobile autonomous robots: a hardware-independent robot operating system, cloud-based fleet management, and AI-powered data analysis. The robots are used for remoteinspection and monitoring, especially in industries with harsh and demanding environments such as the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, but also increasingly in the energy and security industries. The company relies on a SaaS model to do this, offering its software solution and associated IT infrastructure along with hardware from various third-party vendors.
