Yao-Jung Wen is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the lighting control industry. Currently serving as an Engineering Fellow and Senior Staff Engineer at Energy Solutions since August 2017, Yao-Jung leads technical research focused on non-energy benefits and interoperability of networked lighting controls. Previously, Yao-Jung held leadership roles within the Illumination Engineering Society San Francisco Section, fostering relationships within the lighting design community and organizing key events. A former Senior Scientist Project Lead at Philips Lighting Research North America, responsibilities included managing global research projects and driving innovation. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where Yao-Jung also pioneered research on wireless mesh networking technology for distributed sensing and controls.
