Henry Van der Eecken is an experienced freight trader currently working at Engelhart Commodities Trading Partners since September 2017. Prior to this role, Henry served as Senior Vice President of Chartering at The Caravel Group Limited from July 2014 to September 2017, focusing on trading Panamax vessels. Between April 2009 and July 2014, Henry held the position of Chartering Manager at Compagnie Maritime Belge, specializing in freight trading for Panamax and Handysize vessels, as well as freight derivatives (FFA's). Henry started the career as a Capesize Shipbroker at LSS S.A. from September 2007 to April 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Transport and Maritime Management obtained magna cum laude from the University of Antwerp in 2007, and a Master's degree in Nautical Sciences from Antwerp Maritime Academy, completed in 2006. In 2016, Henry attended INSEAD for further education.
