Steve Nardone has a diverse work experience in the field of materials-related projects. Steve currently serves as the Delivery Lead Collaborative Research and Innovation at Laborelec, where they coordinate materials-related projects covering corporate research programs and public funding. Steve has been working in this role since January 2022. Prior to this, Steve worked as a Senior Expert & Project Manager at Laborelec and held several positions such as Thematic Lab Manager for Advanced Materials Technologies and Metal Additive Manufacturing. Steve also served as an Expert in Conventional Power Plant Materials and was responsible for failure analysis of boiler and turbine components. Steve has also worked as a Quality Manager Assistant and a Project Engineer at Laborelec. In addition to their work at Laborelec, Steve had a temporary assignment as a Technical Expert at GDF SUEZ Energy International, where they provided technical support and recommendations on the remaining life and integrity assessment of power generation equipment. Before joining Laborelec and GDF SUEZ, Steve had an internship at Innovene, where they conducted an industrial project focused on understanding caustic soda corrosion and determining suitable alloys for certain operating conditions.

Steve Nardone obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Metallurgy & Materials Science from Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. Steve also completed Chinese language courses at the Confucius Institute in Brussels, earning Level 1 in 2011 and Level 2 in 2012.
