Tamzin Caffrey is an experienced communications professional with a strong background across various sectors. Currently serving as Head of Communications at EngineeringUK since September 2014, Tamzin promotes engineering, technology, and STEM careers to young people from diverse backgrounds. Prior to this role, Tamzin was the Head of Communications and Brand at Creative Skillset, focusing on talent and career development within the Creative Industries. Previous positions include Head of Marketing & Sales and Head of Communications and Marketing at CILT The National Centre for Languages, where Tamzin developed integrated communication strategies and led marketing efforts for key products and services. Early career roles involved communications and PR coordination, and Tamzin holds a BA in French from the University of Liverpool, supplemented by studies at the London School of PR.

We are a not-for-profit that drives change so more young people choose engineering and technology careers. We don’t have enough engineers and demand is going up. So, we need more young people to realise there could be a future for them in engineering and technology. Many of them don’t understand what engineering is, what the opportunities are and the different ways to get into them. We have to do something to change that. To really thrive, we need a stronger, more representative workforce and for that we have to do things differently to make engineering more attractive. We want more young people to see engineering could offer them a varied and rewarding career. We work with hundreds of organisations so we can all grow the future talent pool together. We need more people and more diversity and we all have a part to play in achieving that. We bring together everything we offer schools under EUK Education. The EUK Education mission is to make it quick and easy for schools to access high quality science, engineering and technology careers inspiration.
